Good Sportsmanship is an integral part of the CYO program. Help us recognize players, coaches, & teams who demonstrate the four pillars of sportsmanship
Fairness, Equity, Good Form, and the Will to Win.
understanding and respecting the feelings and perspective of others.
Treating others with dignity and consideration for their abilities and efforts.
Do Not talk back to the officials or adults.
See the positive side of things and give your best effort.
Encourage and teach supporting teammates and avoid criticizing if mistakes are made. This also holds true for officials and opposing teams.
Taking responsibility for your actions during a game
Show kindness to an injured player and consideration to others’ well-being.
Teach cheering positively for your team and teammates only, as it is not good faith to cheer negatively towards others.
